Integrated Scheduling for Steelmaking Continuous Casting— Hot Rolling Processes considering Hot Chain Logistics

Abstract: Steelmaking continuous casting (SCC)—hot rolling (HR) is a key process in the production of steel products. It is also a process with large energy consumption. Energy saving has always been an important goal of production scheduling of this process. In this paper, aiming at integrated scheduling optimization for SCC-HR processes, energy saving objective is converted to minimize waiting time of slabs in slab yard, so as to reduce slab temperature loss and achieve the goal of saving energy. An integrated two-sta… Show more

“…Peng et al [25] considered deducing the heating energy and the rolling energy during modeling in the iron and steel industry. Wang et al [26] formulated an integrated scheduling problem for steelmaking continuous casting hot rolling processes as an integrated two-stage mathematical programming model. Ding et al [27] presented a multi-objective optimization method for furnace temperature setting so as to obtain a reasonable heating process temperature of a slab in the furnace.…”

“…Thus achieving the goal of improving the mechanical properties of steel without introducing new impurities, which is conducive to the production of clean steel [2]. Additionally, it improves the steel’s fluidity and prepares it for subsequent continuous casting [3]. Consequently, it is becoming increasingly vital to study the efficient mixing of steel by bubbles and enhance its efficiency.…”
