Adoption studies of social media use by clinicians were systematically reviewed, up to July 26th, 2011, to determine the extent of adoption and highlight trends in institutional responses. This search led to 370 articles, of which 50 were selected for review, including 15 adoption surveys. The definition of social media is evolving rapidly; the authors define it broadly to include social networks and group-curated reference sites such as Wikipedia. Facebook accounts are very common among health science students (64–96%) and less so for professional clinicians (13–47%). Adoption rates have increased sharply in the past 4 years. Wikipedia is widely used as a reference tool. Attempts at incorporating social media into clinical training have met with mixed success. Posting of unprofessional content and breaches of patient confidentiality, especially by students, are not uncommon and have prompted calls for social media guidelines.

Da na vključenost v znanstvenoraziskovalno delo v klinični praksi vpliva delovno okolje zaposlenega, se strinjajo tudi nekateri drugi raziskovalci (Montano, Carretero, Entrecanales, & Pozuelo, 2010;Akerjordet, Lode, & Severinsson, 2012;Björkström, Johansson, & Athlin, 2014), saj v svojih raziskavah navajajo ugotovitve, ki kažejo prednost organizacij, ki so na področju raziskovanja bolj razvite in nudijo zaposlenim več sredstev, namenjenih tej dejavnosti. Pri drugi hipotezi smo predpostavili, da naklonjenost delovnega okolja vpliva na stališča in odnos do raziskovanja zaposlenih medicinskih sester.…”

Uvod: Vključevanje v znanstveno-raziskovalne dejavnosti v zdravstveni negi predstavlja pomemben prispevek k razvoju stroke. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti stališča in odnos anketirancev do raziskovanja v kliničnem okolju.Metode: Uporabljena je bila kvantitativna, opisna in eksplorativna neeksperimentalna metoda empiričnega raziskovanja. Anketiranje je potekalo na priložnostnem vzorcu 104 oseb, zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi. Podatki so bili zbrani s pomočjo spletnega vprašalnika, pripravljenega na podlagi pregleda literature. Pri statistični metodi sta uporabljeni deskriptivna statistika (frekvenca, minimum, maksimum, povprečje in standardni odklon) ter interferenčna statistika (linearna regresija, hi-kvadrat test, Mann-Whitneyev U-test, Kruskal-Wallisov test).Rezultati: Anketiranci izkazujejo pozitivna stališča in odnos do raziskovanja (x = 3,44, s = 0,411). Na slednja statistično značilno pozitivno vpliva naklonjenost delovnega okolja (R2 = 0,337, p < 0,001), izzivi in ovire, s katerimi se srečujejo pri raziskovanju, pa na njihova stališča in odnos ne vplivajo (R2 = 0,000, p = 0,932).Diskusija in zaključek: V literaturi se kaže pozitiven odnos anketirancev do raziskovanja, vendar se opozarja na številne ovire za raziskovalno delo. Pomembno je, da se medicinske sestre zavedajo pomembnosti uporabe rezultatov raziskovanja v procesu dela, kajti le tako bodo raziskovanja služila svojemu namenu in imela večjo vrednost.

Objective: This article aims to discuss the role of the healthcare environment on patient’s autonomy. Referring to biomedical ethics will provide a research logic and form a theoretical framework for healthcare designers to define patient autonomy, to master the conditions for promoting it, and to discover the potential of the environment. Background: In modern society, it becomes the responsibility of healthcare architects to realize the design of “benefit for patients.” The goal of healthcare environment design and research is also gradually from a basic level of ensuring the physiological safety of patients to achieving a higher level of respecting patients and helping realize their self-realization. However, how to express respect to patients in the healthcare environment is ambiguous. In order to break through the limitation of architectural specialty, we propose to introduce biomedical ethics. Under this major premise, this article will discuss from the perspective of respect for autonomy (RA). Method: This article combines the definition of autonomy and the discussion of the medical and nursing practice to summarize and propose the themes about RA. It draws on the top-down deductive logic of biomedical ethics from theory to application and applies the three-condition theory of Beauchamp and Childress to deduce the role of the healthcare environment on patient autonomy in each theme. Conclusion: Introducing biomedical ethics into the study of environmental design provides a more theoretical and systematic way of thinking about the role of the healthcare environment. Some autonomy-supportive design strategies are collected and proposed.
