The overall aim of software testing is to deliver the error-free and high-quality software products to the end users. The testing process ensures that a software is aligned with the user specification and requirements. In software testing process, there are many challenging tasks however test case generation process is considered as the most challenging one. The quality of the generated test cases has a significant impact on efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process. In order to improve the quality of a developed software, the test cases should be able to achieve maximum adequacy in the testing and requirements' coverage. This paper presents a comparative evaluation of the prominent requirement-based test case generation approaches. Five evaluation criteria namely, inputs for test case generation, transformation techniques, coverage criteria, time and tool's support are defined to systematically compare the approaches. The results of the evaluation are used to identify the gap in the current approaches and research opportunities in requirements-based test case's generation.

-Modern software development is unimaginable without the help of Application lifecycle management systems (ALMs) due to the heavy documentation and communication needs, especially in safety-critical developments. In this paper the idea of Augmented Lifecycle Space is presented together with its use and benefits. The main target of application is to enhance traceability and consistency throughout the development with minimal or reduced human effort. The idea can be realized easily in homogeneous ALM systems. In case of heterogeneous systems, which is the main scope of this research, some kind of interoperability is required among the used tools. Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC) is a possible solution and it is used to illustrate a possible setup for further studies.

The paper introduces architecture to support system engineering on the cloud. It employs the main benefits of the cloud: scalability, parallelism, cost-effectiveness, multiuser access and flexibility. The architecture includes an open toolbox which provides tools as a service to support various phases of system engineering. The architecture uses the Open Services for Life-cycle Collaboration (OSLC) technology to create a reactive middleware that informs all stakeholders about any changes in the development artefacts. It facilitates the interoperability of tools and enables the workflow of tools to support complex engineering steps. Another component of the architecture is a shared repository of artefacts. All the artefacts generated during a system engineering process are stored in the repository, and can be accessed by relevant stakeholders. The shared repository also serves as a platform to support a protocol for formal model decomposition and group work on the decomposed models. Finally, the architecture includes components for ensuring the dependability of the system engineering process.
