Intelligence Levels and Educational Status of Children with Meningomyelocoele

Abstract: SUMMARY A survey of the intelligence and educational attainments of two groups of school children with meningomyelocoele and the examination of the records of 800 patients in a hospital catering mainly for mentally handicapped children confirmed earlier reports that the majority of children of school age with this condition who have survived up to the present, have been educable in terms of I.Q. and have responded to education.
