“…The CUSUM analysis allows discrimination of accuracy of the diagnosis of different types of malformations (bicorporeal, complete septum, partial septum, normal, and nonvaluable), whereas an accuracy analysis only allows discrimination between binary results (normal or congenital uterine anomalies). As previously described for other procedures, competence achievement and the average evaluation time per volume was operator dependent 12 , 20 , 21 . In the learning period, trainee R1 required a greater number of evaluations to reach competence than trainees R2 and R3 (85th for R1, 58th for R2, and 40th for R3), probably because trainees R2 and R3 had more experience in conventional transvaginal 2D sonography.…”

“…It has been used in different medical specialties to measure the competence of physicians in specific procedures, such as surgical obstetrics and gynecology and embryo transfer, 16 , 17 neurosurgical performance, 18 and arthroplasty performance, 19 among others. It has also been used to evaluate practitioners' performance of 3D sonographic diagnosis of adnexal masses and follicle monitoring during controlled ovarian stimulation 20 , 21 …”
