Interação Grupal De Estudantes Do 2º Ano Do Ensino Fundamental Durante Jogos Coletivos De Educação Física: Relato De Experiência De Estágio / Group Interaction of 2nd Grade Students During Group Games in Physical Education: Report of an Internship Experience

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the experience of an undergraduate student about the basic observation internship, a curricular component of the psychology course at the Federal University of Pernambuco-UFPE, which focused on the interaction of 2nd grade students from a private school in the city of Recife, with members of their team during physical education classes. Although the benefits of physical activity practice in childhood have been confirmed, it is common to observe the presence of students with low engagement during physical education classes at school, especially during competitive games. This fact is related to the implicit demands for a successful performance that are present in these activities, such as previous physical conditioning and affection for sports, which turns their practice into a selection mechanism for those students considered fit and exclusion for those considered unfit. In this sense, the internship was focused on observing and describing the cognitive capacity, based on Piagetian references, of the students in the class in question in relation to the challenges proposed by collective and competitive games, as well as their interactions with the other members of their group. At the end of the internship it was noticeable that the students showed a privileged interaction with the team members who had a close relationship before the activities, creating subgroups within the team. Furthermore, a low engagement of the other students with the objectives proposed by the collective games was observed.
