Identification and characterization of an intracellular Cu, Zn-superoxide dismutase (icCu/Zn-SOD) gene from clam Venerupis philippinarum

Similar expression profile for icCu/Zn-SOD was also found in bay scallop Argopecten irradians [23] and oyster C. gigas [32] with Vibrio or hydrocarbon stimulation. But for C. farreri, the expression level of icCu/Zn-SOD decreased to the lowest levels until 16 h post-Listonella anguillarum challenge, and then recovered [19].…”
