“…In addition, our study extends the extant studies by linking homework expectancy to four additional homework variables (i.e., time, frequency, interest, and favorability). The finding that homework expectancy was positively associated with homework interest and favorability is not surprising, as it is in line with the extant literature in that interest has a positive influence on competence beliefs [23,24], and in that homework favorability and interest as two distinct constructs are strongly positively correlated [25,43] or positively reciprocally related [44]. Another related explanation is that more self-regulated learning is likely to occur in favorite courses [45,46] or achievement-related activities [26], which in turn serve to enhance student motivation [47].…”

“…In fact, data from a recent randomized clinical trial of 3826 adolescents found increased screen time significantly predicts symptoms of depression [38], suggesting that the ability to manage time wisely can be beneficial to adolescents by reducing screen time and the risk of depression. Other outcomes, such as achievement and motivation, have been found to be inextricably linked to time management, since time management includes four phases of self-regulation: forethought, monitoring, control, and reflection [39]. Further research on the role of parents in time management and students' outcomes is recommended by the author, due to the important role of parenting in developing self-regulation [39].…”

“…Motivasi intrinsik, kesukaan, manajemen waktu, dan prestasi terkait erat; mereka bisa saling mempengaruhi dari waktu ke waktu (Xu et al, 2020). Menurut teori selfdetermination (Ryan & Deci, 2000), ada dua jenis motivasi umum untuk terlibat dalam suatu kegiatan: motivasi ekstrinsik dan motivasi intrinsik.…”
