The investment sector has an important role in a country's economy, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. Without good investment prospects, it is difficult to develop economies of scale that will bring prosperity to developing countries. This study aims to find out what are the backgrounds of young investors who are interested in investing in mutual funds in the Seeds and Bareksa applications. Researchers used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method as a research method. The use of the Seeds and Bareksa applications in mutual fund investments has various promotions that increase investor interest in investing in these applications. Promotions are offered such as cashback and discounts when investing and also if you can invite colleagues to join the application and make investments. Many young investors choose the Seeds application over Bareksa in investing in mutual funds online, namely because the ease of features in the application provided by Seeds are easier for young investors to understand.

<p>The aim of this study is to find out and analyze the role of controllers in protecting the interests of publicly-listed company investors by ensuring the implementation of good corporate governance principles. The delay of the implementation of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and the publication of annual financial statements are two examples of non-fulfillment of the principles of good corporate governance namely transparency and accountability, which resulting temporary suspending trading of its shares by Indonesia Stock Exchange. When the role of the controller as shareholder who has the ability to control the company is ineffective because the shareholding of the company is less than 50%, the undertake of investors protection become an issue. This research was conducted based on a juridical-normative approach with analytical descriptive specifications based on secondary data. The results of this study revealed that the controller has several mechanisms to control the company to reduce losses for shareholders. However, the determination of a controller with less than 50% shareholding of the company’s shares results in the controlling role towards the company become ineffective and potentially detrimental to the interests of investors. The difference between this research and the previous lies in the object of this study which discusses the role of controllers in ensuring the fulfillment of the principles of good corporate governance so that they can provide protection to investors.</p>

Mutual funds are an alternative investment because of the opportunity to get better investment returns within a certain period of time. All investments including mutual funds are inseparable from violations and crimes, so the purpose of this paper is to find out about legal protection for investors as consumers. This paper was compiled using normative research, data related to this research were obtained from literature studies, and analysis was carried out by referring to documents related to the discussion. The results of this paper show that the operational mechanism between investors and Investment Managers of Islamic mutual funds uses the wakalah and mudharabah systems. Legal Protection for Investors According to Law Number 8 of 1995 concerning Capital Markets contained in article 100 paragraph 2 and article 101 paragraph 3, Bapepam-LK has the right to carry out inspections and investigations, this is a process of supervisory activities aimed at providing protection and legal certainty for among investors. According to UUPM has the authority to give administrative sanctions and criminal sanctions. Apart from that, legal protection for investors According to Law Number 21 of 2011 concerning the Financial Services Authority in Article 28, Article 29, and Article 30, aspects of protection for capital market investors are under the authority of the OJK. Provisions related to providing information on financial products and assisting consumers in filing lawsuits in court to fulfill consumer rights.
