The multi-layer and multi-pass welding (MLMPW) process plays an important roll in the field of medium-thick plate automatic welding. To solve the problem of the robot self-adapting to the deviation of the weld position and the groove size due to the influence of the workpiece positioning and the welding deformation in MLMPW, a novel method based on the laser vision system to correct the path deviation is presented in this paper. Firstly, an image processing algorithm with image defogging technology is developed to deal with the interference problem of laser reflection on the metal surface. Then, the MLMPW path planning is performed based on the feature points extracted from the image. Lastly, a multi-layer welding path correction (MLWC) method is introduced to enable the robot to automatically scan the actual weld profile information of the previous layer and correct the welding path position of the next layer. The experiments demonstrate that the proposed MLWC method can effectively reduce scan times and eliminate the influence of welding deformation, and improve the adaptability of industrial robots to MLMPW.

Passenger choice behaviour of buying tickets has a great impact on the high-speed rail (HSR) revenue management. It is very critical to find out the sensitive factors that prevent passengers with high willingness to pay for a ticket from buying low-price tickets. The literature on passenger choice behaviour mainly focuses on travel mode choice, choice between a conventional train and a high-speed train and choice among high-speed trains. To extend the literature and serve revenue management, this paper investigates passenger choice behaviour of buying high-speed railway tickets. The data were collected by the stated preference (SP) survey based on Beijing-Hohhot high-speed railway. The conditional logit model was established to analyse influencing factors for business travel and non-business travel. The results show that: business passengers have the higher inherent preference for full-price tickets, while non-business passengers have the higher inherent preference for discount tickets; the number of days booked in advance and frequent passenger points have a significant impact on the ticket choice of business travellers, but not on non-business travellers; passengers are unwilling to buy tickets that depart after 16:00 for non-business travel; factors have different effects on the passengers' choice in business travel and non-business travel. The results can provide parameters for revenue management models and references for the ticket-product design.

Este trabalho propõe uma análise desagregada de escolhas de destinos para viagens intermunicipais, por meio da aplicação de algoritmos de Aprendizagem de Máquinas - AM (Classification And Regression Tree - CART e Algoritmos Genéticos - AG). Foi utilizada uma Pesquisa OD, realizada pelo Centro de Estudos de Transportes e Meio Ambiente (UFBA), em 2012/2013 em onze municípios do estado da Bahia. Foi realizada a calibração de um Modelo Logit Multinomial a partir do algoritmo AG, trazendo a vantagem de associação das escolhas dos destinos a valores de coeficientes estimados das funções utilidade aleatórias, sem os problemas relativos à calibração dos modelos logit tradicionais, tais como erros identicamente distribuídos, seguindo a distribuição de Gumbel. O desempenho de cada algoritmo de AM foi comparado à abordagem tradicional (modelo gravitacional). Os resultados evidenciaram que os algoritmos de AM apresentaram melhores previsões para a escolha de destinos, sendo que o AG apresentou vantagens na obtenção dos parâmetros associados às variáveis independentes. A principal conclusão é que tais algoritmos podem ser aplicados na modelagem de distribuição de viagens, incorporando o efeito das variáveis desagregadas, sem suposições matemáticas rigorosas contidas no ajuste de modelos tradicionais desagregados.
