Investigation of the Conditions for the Use of Material with the Shape Memory Effect in the Sprinklers

Abstract: The expediency of using nitinol, which is a material with the shape memory effect (SME), as a sensitive element (SE) of a sprinkler has been substantiated. The influence of various parameters on the SE dimensions is analyzed and it is shown that the response time of an element made of a material with the shape memory effect depends on the dimensions of the fixing device (FD) (the diameter of the glass bulb and its thickness).
