Cerit 54 investigated the low-speed impact behavior of aluminum matrix composites reinforced with bimodal SiC particles, fabricated via a powder metallurgy route. It was reported from this work that while the dual particle size composite could provide improved hardness and impact performance compared to a single particle size composite, agglomeration of the finer reinforcement may have had a negative effect on its hardness and impact behavior.…”
