Investigation of Vertical Vibration of a Vehicle Vodel Driving Through a Horizontal Curve

Abstract: The article deals with the problem of vertical vibration of vehicle model driving a horizontal curve of radius R = 100 m. A brief theoretical work on the topic is presented in the introduction part. Where a descriptions of the forces acting on the vehicle while passing through the curve are discussed. In the second part of this work, a detailed description of the vehicle model is given. The equations of motion of the vehicle model are then derived for vertical dynamic response of the mechanical system consider… Show more

“…The requirement to bring the vehicle to the skid at low -safe speed was triggered by the demands on the department. At the same time, the area of vehicle testing can be transferred from the experimental environment to the software environment [3,4] where simplifying conditions need to be appropriately chosen.…”

“…In comparison to bogies for passenger wagons, it features the relatively stiff structure. On one hand there are solutions allowing steering wheelsets in curves by releasing the wheelsets in guidance, but on the other hand such a design meets problems when a freight wagon passes straight sections of tracks [11], [12], [13], [14]. These facts have led engineers to the modification of the original Y25 bogie design.…”

“…Also, it is necessary to determine accurately, how complicated must be the model in order to answer our questions, which we need to answer just now. In most cases, it is sufficient to make up only a simple model (4). We should be satisfied when first simulation result will give us only a simple and ofen primary information.…”

“…This simple model includes essential elements of interest and, exclusively, mechanical system bindings. There must be the most considerable static forces and load torque of mechanism as well (4). The aim of the model preparation is to complete the model which describes the system under examination the most accurately ( 5), but at the same time just elaborated as necessary.…”
