“…Hasil pemompaan satu unit pompa ini akan mampu melayani kebutuhan air bersih sekitar 125 jiwa penduduk (25 KK). Dalam mendesain dan membuat pompa hydram akan diimplementasikan desain baru pompa hydram dengan katup limbah dan tekan sesuai hasil penelitian Suarda dkk. (2018), dimana model baru katup tersebut dapat memberikan unjuk kerja yang optimal, dan mudah dioperasikan dan dipelihara/diperbaiki.…”

“…The first suggestion was given by John Whitehurts in 1772, but it was not feasible until Joseph Montgolfier, a French inventor, made ram pumps in 1796. Guo et al (2018) have conducted a lot of experimental studies for optimum performance which performance of hydraulic ram pumps (hydram) has been performed by researchers Krol (1951), Schiller (1984), Browne (2005), Suarda (2018), Dhaiban (2019) in various countries by fabrication of hydram and feasibility analysis. Various studies were carried out to understand and simulate the functioning of a hydram (Sheikh et al, 2013;Deo et al, 2016;Hussin et al, 2017).…”

“…Recently, the interest in HRP for water supply has been renewed due to the awareness of the adverse impact of climate change and the needs of sustainable technology, especially in remote areas of developing regions. 2,3 Comparisons and reviews dealing with HRP systems can be seen in Watt, 4 Eric, 5 Browne, 6 and Matthias et al 7 A comprehensive study on operation and performance in HRP has been published by Young, 8 Mbiu et al, 9 Suarda et al, 10 and Asvapoositkul et al 11 Several studies have been done to investigate HRP especially the effect of impulse or waste valve on the pump performance. The opening and closing of the waste valve are due to the flow velocity under the action of the supply head.…”
