“…The ash content for engines fuelled with JMETPO20 was found to be greater than that of diesel fuel. A similar finding on the ash content was found in the literature [123][124][125][126]. The high ash content found in the lubricant with biodiesel is caused by increased wear debris accumulation in the engine.…”

“…We investigated the feasibility of injecting a hybrid plasma-rich animal fat biodiesel mixture in the compressor inlet to enhance the efficiency of GTE operation and reduce GHG emission levels. The integration of plasma technology in GTEs is proposed as a solution based on the principle of free electron formation under high temperatures to enhance the overall combustion efficiency with the adoption of biofuels, meeting the higher combustion temperature requirement for the oxygenated biodiesel fuel [40]. A fundamental understanding of the role of plasma-fuel combination in reducing emission levels can help to achieve optimal use of biofuel [41].…”

“…In this study, an experimental setup having Antor 3 LD 510 model direct injection diesel engine was used to obtain accurate load on the designed connecting rod. This test engine is used for research purposes in many studies today [35,36]. This single cylinder, four stroke and direct injection diesel engine was controlled by electrically dynamometer and to create harsh conditions on the connecting rod the experiments were fulfilled at full load and engine speeds in between 1200 -2000 rpm.…”
