“…S2-S4 †). 39,40 OA has major peaks at 5.35 ppm, 1.45°to 1.23 ppm due to HCCH, IJCH 2 ) 3 and IJCH 2 ) 5 hydrogens, respectively, and there is no trace of such peaks in sample B. In the case of the Raman spectrum of sample B, the peaks match perfectly with those of pure DAST.…”

“…One can see that the thermal stability of the composite films reaches 282 °C (Figure 5a). Since the melting temperature of DAST is 258.94 °C, [40] the peak at 176 °C in Figure 5b corresponds to the T g of the DAST−PVDF films, which is much higher than that (−35 °C) of the pure PVDF film [20] and other guest-host composite films (DANS−PC composite films (112 °C), DANS−SAN composite films (92 °C), [6] and PDR1M Azobenzene polymer www.advmatinterfaces.de films (125 °C) [41] ) previously reported. This suggests that the strong interface interactions between the PVDF chains and DAST chromophores lead to the decrease of the mobility of the polymer chains, thus significantly increasing the T g of the composite films, as similarly reported by Fryer et al that the polymers with lower mobility exhibit a higher T g .…”

“…The peak appeared at 1369 cm −1 are an attribute to C─N stretching frequency in IR and the 819 cm −1 assigned to 1, 4-distributed aromatic ring. [30] The peaks appeared between the ranges 1180-1165 cm −1 indicate the vibrations of sulfonate. The peak may be owing to the in-plane and out-plane deformation of sulfonate group in the regions 1585-1165 cm −1 .…”
