Investigation on vibration of single-walled carbon nanotubes by variational iteration method

Abstract: In this paper, the variational iteration method (VIM) has been used to investigate the non-linear vibration of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) based on the nonlocal Timoshenko beam theory. The accuracy of results is examined by the fourth-order Runge-Kutta numerical method. Comparison between VIM solutions with numerical results leads to highly accurate solutions.
