In our studies with retinoids, we used a receptor fluid composed of a mixture of 90:10 (v/v) PBS, pH 7.4/ethanol containing 2% (w/v) polysorbate 60, to guarantee the presence of the sink condition for the studied drugs, adapalene (Rodrigues et al., 2020) and tretinoin (Lima et al., 2021).
