“…A comparison among the various K = K(T, X) equations proposed in the present work and in previous studies (10)(11)(12) for similar solvent systems has been made by considering the criteria of the smallest difference between calculated and experimental values, of the simplest equation, and of the applicability to the largest number of solvent systems. This comparison has suggested that, in general, quite acceptable agreement between calculated and experimental values is achieved, even if the same equation may be employed with better results for the present system and for the previously studied GlietIGliem one.…”

“…It has unique solvating properties associated with its "quasiaprotic" character and is widely used for electrochemical investigations and various industrial processes. [5][6][7] Even though ME has drawn much attention in recent years as a solvent for electroanalytical investigations, 8,9 very few reliable studies on the electrolytic behavior in this nonaqueous medium have so far been made. Therefore, as a part of a series of investigations on the chemical nature of structure of ions on their mutual and specific interactions with solvent molecules, [10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18] we have performed conductivity and ultrasonic velocity measurements on 2-methoxyethanol solutions of potassium picrate (KPic), potassium tetraphenylborate (KBPh 4 ), tetrabutylammonium tetraphenylborate (Bu 4 NBPh 4 ), and tetraphenylarsonium picrate (Ph 4 AsPic) as functions of temperature (288.15 e T/K e 308.15).…”

“…The pure solvents and their binaries, obtained by mixing each component with each other, have been utilized in the past as potentially useful media for electrochemical investigations on ionization and dissociation reactions in solution (6)(7)(8)(9). In an extension of our research about the electrolytic behavior into the ternary solvent mixtures, we are recording the experimental measurements on the thermomechanical properties of the above-mentioned ternaries.…”
