“…L-cys exhibits Fe-reducing activity owing to the functional sulfhydryl group (-SH) (Lu et al 2020;Ramos et al 2020). Furthermore, L-cys can be adsorbed on the nZVI surface through amino, carboxyl and sulfydryl groups to generate L-cysteine-Fe complex (Karuppasamy et al 2010;Ye et al 2020).
