Iron (III)‐catalyzed one‐pot synthesis of fused 4H‐pyran derivatives via Knoevenagel‐Michael‐cyclization reaction

Abstract: A facile and efficient protocol has been developed for the synthesis of fused 4H-pyran derivatives via one-pot three components combination of aldehydes, 1,1-bis(methylthio)-2-nitroethylene (BMTNE), and enolketone/dimedone derivatives under the catalysis of FeCl 3 . The target products could be obtained in moderate to good yields.
