Abstract:Designs of flat-slotted irrigated packings of regular structure made of cogged plates of cellular plastic with different air flow regimes in their channels are considered. It is shown that in case of intensification of heat and mass transfer by means of artificial turbulization of air flow in channels the significant reduction is provided in size of packing after reaching of required efficiency of air temperature reduction and acceptable aerodynamic resistance.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
