Abstract: Lactoferrin, an iron-binding glycoprotein, primarily present in milk, has been shown to be involved in various physiological and protective function including roles in iron homeostasis, cell proliferation, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antioxidant, immunomodulatory and anticancer activities.
