Abstract:The widespread use of urea-SCR (selective catalytic reduction) aftertreatment to meet stringent heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) NO x emission standards has worldwide led to increased exhaust ammonia (NH 3 ) slip. A prerequisite for the nitrogen (N) stable isotope (δ 15 N)-based source apportionment of ambient NH 3 is that the N isotopic signatures of NH 3 sources be well characterized. However, knowledge of δ 15 N values from HDV-emitted NH 3 is still lacking. Using an on-board HDV emission measurement system, tailpi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
