This study aimed to determine problems of preservice teachers on technological pedagogical knowledge skills. The socio-economic transformations taking place in the country indicate the presence of a society’s need for a person who has the ability to set goals and achieve them independently. In this regard, education is faced with the task of forming the personality of the future teacher as a subject capable of diagnosing the process and results of its activities. However, the educational technologies used at the university most often alienate students from educational activities, offering ready-made goals, ways to solve them, and thereby exclude them from the diagnostic process. A change in the modern educational situation actualizes the formation problem of technological pedagogical knowledge skills in a future teacher. The article deals with the development of a scientifically-based system for preparing students for diagnostic activity, which includes theoretical and practical training at the university. The practical significance of the research results lies in the possibility of using the developed methodological recommendations in the practice of training specialists in the field of primary education. The language of teaching and learning challenges Physical Sciences teachers and impacts learners’ achievements. The study aimed to investigate how language literacy is integrated into the teaching of Physical Sciences. A descriptive survey design was adopted. The participants were five Grade 10 Physical Sciences teachers and 211 learners (108 boys; 103 girls) from nine schools exhibiting low academic achievements. Data were gleaned through the Literacy Skills Usage Survey Questionnaire (LSUSQ). The results show that 77.78% of the teachers did not engage learners in report writing and arguments which are fundamental to language literacy, suggesting that integrating literacy in science teaching was inadequate. Learners had difficulties in contributing to word walls, writing reports, and arguing from evidence. The lack of integration suggests that teachers lacked training in integrating language literacy into science teaching. These findings underscore the need for workshops to enable teachers to incorporate language literacy in teaching Physical Sciences. The aim of this research is to study the state, dynamics and factors affecting the interethnic relations of young people in the field of education. This article discusses the conceptual foundations of the structural and content model of forming interethnic tolerance of young people in a multicultural environment of the university. Particular attention is paid to the study of new educational strategies and approaches that can create the desired socio-cultural and theoretical tolerance of representatives of other cultures, ethnic groups and religions. The research was a mixed method research and it made use of both quantitative and qualitative data. Secondary data for the article was derived from the scientific publications of other researchers and primary data was collected with the help of focus groups and indepth interviews.The 1000 participants of the research were carefully selected to represent nationals of other countries, culture and religion, to reduce the bias that sociological studies exhibit. The hierachy technique was used to analyze qualitative data. The authors present the results and analysis of sociological research for the analysis of interethnic tolerance of young people. It focuses on the psychological and pedagogical content of the phenomenon of interethnic tolerance, that can be taught to students in school. The authors offer evidence-based conclusions and recommendations on the organization of the process of forming interethnic tolerance of young people in a multicultural environment of the university.
