Iterative clipping and filtering based on discrete cosine transform/inverse discrete cosine transform for intensity modulator direct detection optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system
Abstract:Iterative clipping and filtering (ICF) is a useful technique to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals. However, the classical ICF with Fast Fourier Transform/Inverse Fast Fourier Transform requires much iteration to approach a specified PAPR threshold in the complementary cumulative distribution function. To reduce the nonlinear distortion in both electrical and optical devices and in the optical fiber, we propose a novel ICF based on discret… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
