West Kalimantan has a history of inter-ethnic conflicts, and the process of reconciliation has been continued until today in order to create a complete peace. This present study uses the qualitative method of explorative case study from the perspective of Arendt's Political Forgiveness Theory to analyze the process of individual forgiveness in the ongoing reconciliation process. The results indicate that the dialectics of forgiveness practices that occur individually cannot be achieved completely due to several factors, but the presence of the West Kalimantan Children's Forum, the Madurese Family Association, the Alliance for Peace and Transformation, and the Dayakology Institute stimulates the emergence of collective forgiveness for the past interethnic conflicts in the younger generation in West Kalimantan. The findings suggest that sustainable justice is the main solution that will enable all ethnic groups to live in harmony. AbstrakKalimantan Barat memiliki sejarah konflik antar-etnis, dan proses rekonsiliasi telah berlanjut hingga hari ini untuk menciptakan perdamaian yang seutuhnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus eksploratif dari perspektif Teori Pengampunan Politik Arendt untuk menganalisis proses pengampunan individu dalam proses rekonsiliasi yang masih berlangsung. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa dialektika praktik pengampunan yang terjadi secara individual tidak dapat dicapai sepenuhnya karena beberapa faktor, tetapi kehadiran Forum Anak-Anak Kalimantan Barat, Asosiasi Keluarga Madura, Aliansi untuk Perdamaian dan Transformasi, serta Institut Dayakologi merangsang munculnya pengampunan kolektif untuk konflik antar-etnis masa lalu pada generasi muda di Kalimantan Barat. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa keadilan berkelanjutan adalah solusi utama yang akan memungkinkan semua kelompok etnis untuk hidup dalam harmoni.

Human rights abuses are the center of every country in the world, as they are the result of their dominance over the weak, or other things like ignorance, lack of law enforcement, etc. And so it is in the world of education, which ought to be a center of understanding and awareness of human rights, through history study. But rather often, human rights abuses come from academic environments such as schools and colleges. The study aims to analyze the implementation of human rights values in history study. The study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach, whereas the data-collecting technique is a document or documentary study instrument. These findings suggest that the study of history has affected the behavior of students that reflect the virtues of human consciousness. Human rights values such as equality and the ban of discrimination (nondiscrimination) are reflected in students after the historical learning process is done, it can be seen both inside and outside the equation. Thus history study alone has significant effects on students, such as mutual respect of opinion, upholding the values of tolerance, cooperation and so forth. The conclusion of the article is that the effectiveness of learning needs to be optimized so that the human rights reflected in every historical event are capable of being thoroughly analyzed and understood by learners, which are then a provision for students to live national and national.

Abstrak Arendt banyak dikenal, baik sebagai seorang ilmuwan politik, maupun seorang filsuf. Para sarjana mendiskusikan ide-idenya, beserta korespondensi ide-ide tersebut dengan situasi politik kontemporer; baik di Indonesia, maupun di tempat lain di dunia. Gagasan Arendt tentang banalitas kejahatan, tentang kekerasan dan tentang asal usul totalitarianisme telah mendorong penelitian dan analisis lebih lanjut tentang masalah fenomena populisme, intoleransi dan polarisasi politik di Indonesia kontemporer, serta di belahan dunia lainnya. Tulisan ini membahas korespondensi antara filsafat politik Arendtian dengan Pancasila dan Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945, beserta ragam interpretasi kontemporernya. Makalah ini akan signifikan dalam memperkuat pembentukan karakter bangsa dan persatuan nasional Indonesia, baik secara konseptual maupun praktis. Tulisan ini didasarkan pada penelitian konseptual dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Tulisan ini diharapkan dapat menjawab permasalahan kebangkitan populisme, retorika politik intoleran dan polarisasi politik yang saat ini terjadi di tanah air.
