“…However, this autonomy and freedom of thought did not elicit the development of a monolithic shared interpretation of Brazil's main priorities and leadership and governance structure, leading the "20 Cents Movement" to an impasse that impeded it from moving forward (Choo, 1996(Choo, , 2001Weick, 1995). For instance, according to Ruediger et al (2014), the number of tweets in June 2013 coming directly from the people was far greater (355,780 tweets) than the posts articulated by media, corporations or institutions (15,771 tweets). Thus, data indicate the spontaneity of the movement, as well as the autonomy and freedom of participants of this uprising.…”
