Araştırmada, 1984 Determination Temporal Land Use Changes in Goksun District of Kahramanmaras City Using Remote Sensing Techniques and Geographic Information SystemsABSTRACT: The c… Show more

“…260 Furthermore, Selcuk Reis, an engineer in geomatics, and others analyzed land use/ cover changes between 1976 and 2000 by using remote sensing and GIS with the integration of LANDSAT images to depict the transformation in the landscape as a result of deforestation on greater scales. 261 Of all the extensive studies on land use and cover, Bengi Korgavuş, a landscape architect, both qualitatively and quantitatively measured, compared, and analyzed changes in the cultural landscapes of Rize through historical aerial photos from 1955, 1989, and 2009 by using GIS and face-to-face interviews with relevant stakeholders. 262 This latter study examines the separate components of the cultural landscape of Rize i.e.…”

“…A total of eight locations were used analyzed in different studies in terms of analyzing their residential, agriculture, forest, and pasture lands and water surface area covering the period between the 1980s and 2010s. This data was compiled and presented in (Genç et al, 2013;Reis et al, 2016;Gülersoy, 2013;Kara & Karatepe, 2012;Soyaslan & Hepdeniz, 2016;Ekinci & Pektezel, 2012;Dengiz & Turan, 2014;Gülersoy, 2014).…”

“…In studies conducted in different regions regarding land use, the common finding is that the expansion of residential areas has negatively affected the agricultural and pasture areas. Besides, while the agricultural areas narrowed in Çanakkale and Göksun, forest areas expanded (Genç et al, 2013;Reis et al, 2016).…”
