Purpose: News is reading material and information that is widely consumed by the public, especially online news where access is considered easier. However, it is often found that online news writing is not in accordance with the rules of the Indonesian language. For this reason, this study aims to describe what deviations are in the Indonesian language in the journalistic public realm of online news articles and describe what are the factors that cause this. Methodology: The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Deviations found in news articles are marked and recorded. The data technique uses listening, writing and note-taking techniques. Results: The results showed that there were 7 clerical deviations (spelling, punctuation, and word standardization), 4 morphological deviations, and 9 deviations using a foreign or regional language. The lack of language knowledge and understanding of KBBI from both news writers and editorial staff is a factor in the occurrence of these deviations. Lack of thoroughness and the habit of writing language that is not in accordance with the rules in everyday life are also factors that cause language deviations in this online news. Applications/Originality/Value: Online news media should improve by using language according to the correct rules because it also plays an important role and contributes to applying the proper use of Indonesian to the wider community.

Punctuation errors in Indonesian often occur in Indonesian scientific writing. This error was caused intentionally and unintentionally by the author. The factor of intentional is because the author does not have time to make independent improvements after writing, while unintentional occurs because of the author's ignorance of the appropriate form of punctuation. Therefore, the punctuation error detection system in Indonesian writing was developed to overcome them. The name of the application is KEBI 1.0 Checker which was a web-based application and provided three features, namely punctuation detection, typo detection, and standard words detection. The research proposed to evaluate the performance of application based on punctuation errors using a rule-based spelling checker that can be detected were in the form of comma punctuation, hyphens in repeat words, and writing of pre-, post-, and inter-particles, as well as writing prefixes with additional English verbs. After the application was tested on ten scientific papers, KEBI 1.0 Checker showed accuracy for correcting punctuation errors reached an accuracy of 76.67%, precision of 100%, and recall of 76.67%.

Penelitian tindakan kelas di kelas IV SDN Kalicacing 02 dilatar belakangi dengan rendahnya keterampilan menggunakan huruf kapital dan tanda baca. Penerapan metode Resitasi perbantuan media Puztaman sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis menggunakan huruf kapital dan tanda baca pada cerita pengalaman. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Setiap siklus penelitiannya memiliki 4 tahapan yaitu, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan serta refleksi. Subjek penelitian pada kelas IV SD Negeri Kalicacing 02 yang berjumlah 19 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian diambil dengan cara observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan penelitian menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan peserta didik meningkat dari pra siklus sebesar 26%, mengalami kenaikan pada siklus 1 menjadi 42,1% serta pada siklus 2 menjadi 84,3%. Maka, penerapan metode Resitasi perbantuan media Puztaman dapat dikatakan berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan menulis menggunakan huruf kapitan dan tanda baca pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Kalicacing 02 Salatiga.
