Abstract: Zooplankton berperan sebagai konsumen tingkat pertama, yaitu memindahkan energi dari produsen ke konsumen tingkat dua. Zooplankton dapat digunakan sebagai bahan kajian untuk mengetahui kualitas dan kesuburan suatu perairan yang sangat diperlukan untuk mendukung pemanfaatan sumberdaya pesisir dan laut. “…The abundance of zooplankton is dominated by the phylum Arthropoda with an abundance value of 5640 ind/m 3 (Figure 6), this is because the types of zooplankton identified in the waters of the northern peninsula of Banyuasin are 76% composition and 30 genera. The dominance of Arthropods (Crustacea) in the waters is due to the nature of Arthropods which are omnivores or eat everything such as phytoplankton, fellow zooplankton and detritus so that Arthropods are easier to get food [30].
