Klinische Wirksamkeiten der Magnetfeldtherapie - eine Literaturubersicht

Abstract: To verify the efficacy of electromagnetic fields on various diseases we conducted a computer-assisted search of the pertinent literature. The search was performed with the aid of the Medline and Embase database (1966-1998) and reference lists. Clinical trials with at least one control group were selected. The selection criteria were met by 31 clinical studies. 20 trials were designed double-blind, randomised and placebo-controlled. The studies were categorised by indications. Electromagnetic fields were applie… Show more

“…It is also clear that cells undergoing tumorigenesis have been observed to have altered cytoskeletons with enhanced motility and less polarity [30][31]. Similar effects were also observed in migrating cells during many biological processes, such as tissue repair and regeneration [1], [2], [18], [19]. All of these cytoskeletal dynamics of migrating cells are highly associated with the EGFR signal pathway because there is intensive cross talk between the cytoskeleton and the EGFR signal pathways.…”

“…EMFs have been applied in medical therapies and were reported to be able to improve wound healing and tissue repair [18][19] and to accelerate the proliferation of osteoblasts to promote fracture healing [19]–[20].…”

“…The invigoration of the trunk musculature obtained by individual physiotherapy and muscle stamina training leads to smaller loads on the intervertebral disc due to improved muscular control of the spinal column. Good results were obtained by adapted lying positions (90 ° angles at both hip-and knee-joints), extensiontherapy, Tilscher infusion therapy, as well as local warmth median 10 20 8 20 10 22 interquartile range 1 7 4 9 4 3 confi dence interval 9 -10 18 -25 7 -11 12 -21 7 -11 21 -24 applications, magnetic fi eld therapy, acupuncture or electrotherapy [9,16] . It must be said clearly, however, that the biological working mechanisms behind the therapy of lumbar spine complaints are not fully understood at present.…”
