School principals in Indonesia are generally also asked to be responsible for carrying out other active roles such as: managing, monitoring and evaluating overall school operations (Andriyani et al, 2013;Astuti, 2019;Hamidi et al, 2019;Kharismawati, 2019;Nugroho and Wuradji, 2013), developing school facilities and infrastructure (Nurasiah, 2013;Setia, 2018;Widiansyah, 2018), carrying out long-term planning to keep schools competitive (Fitria and Samsia, 2020), becoming a motivator within the organization (Amalyah et al, 2021;Rahayu, 2020;Saefuddin, 2020), involved in managing school finances (Adillah, 2016;Komariah, 2018), playing a role in building the school's image (Pebriany and Sanusi, 2020;Saepudin and Irawaty, 2020), involved in dealing with students problems (Mokodompit, 2019), being the initiator of innovation (Amalyah et al, 2021;Amini and Ginting, 2020), to translating vision into action (Mustiningsih et al, 2020) in addition to being in charge of teaching if necessary (Amalyah et al, 2021).…”
