Abstract: The article presents the relationship between one of the main representatives of Italianhumanism – Pietro Bembo – with Poles. The most important aspect was his friendship withKlemens Janicki who studied in Padua in 1538–1540. His works are a testimony of contactshe had established when in Italy.
