Abstract

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p> The crystal structure of SBr<jats:sub>3</jats:sub><jats:sup>+</jats:sup>SbF<jats:sub>6</jats:sub><jats:sup>-</jats:sup>is reported. It shows short contacts between the S atom of the cation and F atoms of surrounding SbF<jats:sub>6</jats:sub><jats:sup>-</jats:sup>anions such that a distorted ψ-octahedral coordination around S is formed. Besides these short S···F-distances, there are short Br···F-contacts in the crystal and nine- and ten-membered heterocycles are formed via S -Br- and Sb-F-bonds and Br···F-contacts.</jats:p>
