KULTIVASI DAN EKSTRAKSI MINYAK DARI MIKROALGA Botryococcus braunii DAN Nannochloropsis sp.

Abstract: Microalgae has high content of vegetable oil. The extraction of microalgae oil can be more efficient with the cell wall destruction, it was aimed to freeing oil that locked inside the cells and be soluble in organic solvent (n-hexane). The study aimed to determined the microalgae growth, the influence of different pH and different species of microalgae with extraction using microwave on oil production by Botryococcus braunii and Nannochloropsis sp. Experimental method with the randomized design was used in thi… Show more

“…Chisti (2007) and Chisti (2008), stated that a metabolic relationship between carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, i.e., acetyl-CoA competition, which is a precursor to various biosynthetic pathways such as lipids, proteins, and carbohydrates. Musdalifah et al (2013); Patil et al (2008) and Song et al (2008), stated that microalgae cell lipid biosynthesis is initiated by condensation of glycerol with three fatty acid molecules with the aid of lipase enzyme catalyst. Glycerol derived from α-glycerophosphate removed by phosphate groups by phosphorylation reaction, the formation of fat acids requires some acetyl-CoA, two pairs of electrons (2 NADPH), and ATP energy.…”

“…Extraction research conducted M. Musdalifah et al [11] produced 145.11 grams in 50 liters of media with MAE (Microwave-Assisted Extraction) to optimize the process of breaking down the cell wall to make it easier for oil to get out of the cell and dissolve with n-hexane solvent. The operating conditions at extraction are temperature 75 o C for 10 minutes and wavelength of 2450 MHz.…”
