L-subshell ionization cross sections of Lu, W, Au, Tl, Pb, Th and U by protons of 0.5—0.9 MeV energy

Lt x-ray transitions have been extracted and corresponding ionization cross sections for LI-, Lzand Ls-subshells have been calculated. The ratics of the experimental data to the predictions of the ECPSSR and the SCA theories are presented BS a function of the corrected reduced projectile yelocity parametu t;, . The Coulomb deflection of the projectile hy the target nudeus predicted by these two approaches is compared with the experimental data. Pcssible reasons for the observed disagreement between experiment and theory are discussed.
