Landscape, complexity and regulation of a filamentous fungal transcriptome

Abstract: Alternative splicing (AS) and alternative polyadenylation (APA) of pre-mRNAs contribute greatly to transcriptome complexity and gene expression regulation in higher eukaryotes. Their biological impact in filamentous fungi, however, has been poorly studied.
