Laser Floating Zone: General Overview Focusing on the Oxyorthosilicates Growth

Abstract: This chapter reviews the laser floating zone (LFZ) technique, also known as the laser-heated pedestal growth (LHPG), focusing on the recently produced rareearth-doped oxyorthosilicate fibers.
