Late-Onset Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura After Withdrawal of Interferon Treatment for Chronic Hepatitis C Infection

Abstract: Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is a life-threatening complication following pegylated interferon alpha (PEG-IFN) plus ribavirin treatment, the standard treatment for hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
