Abstract:The article is dedicated to the activities of the small Orthodox congregations of Kolkasrags and Dundaga during the 1920-1930's. The reflection and analysis of problems encountered by both congregations is based on archival documents and periodicals of the Latvian Orthodox Church. The main problems faced by the congregations were rather similar: lack of funds, absence of priests and frequent replacement of priests.
