“…Beside the elevated pancreatic enzyme levels, the abdominal ultrasound found normal pancreas. O'BRIEN et al 28 , published ten cases of leptospirosis and pancreatitis, diagnosed by elevated serum amylase (> 100 IU/L), and lipase (> 300 IU/L), but without any detectable ultrasound pancreatic morphologic change. CASELLA & SCATENA 6 described a similar case of mild acute pancreatitis and leptospirosis with 1116 IU/L of serum amylase and 802 IU/L of lipase, but also without any ultrasound pancreatic alterations.…”
