Level of Students Conceptual Understanding and Resource Theory View: Geometric Optics

Abstract: This study aims to identify the level of understanding (LoU) and resources that students activate. This is a descriptive study. The study used a survey method by distributing ten multiple-choice questions. The focus of the study is geometric optics. The research was conducted on 64 physics students who were taking Basic Physics III courses. Data analysis was carried out by determining descriptive statistics and categorizing students' LoU based on the reasons given. The LoU includes Sound Understanding, Partial… Show more

“…Instructional impacts are learning outcomes achieved by students directly in order to achieve the expected goals, collateral impacts are other impacts that occur during the learning process as a result of creating a learning environment in which students directly experience learning outcomes (Nada et al, 2022;Wahyuni & Taqwa, 2022). There are several types of learning models, one of which is the cooperative learning model (Nufus, 2020).…”

“…With this, the learning model used must be appropriate and appropriate (Ananda & Fadhilaturrahmi, 2018;Bao & Fritchman, 2021;Kim et al, 2018;Kusairi, 2013). An appropriate learning model is a learning model that attracts students' interest in learning, students become more active in learning (Rahim & Nadira, 2022;Ramadhani & Nurita, 2022;Sinaga et al, 2022;Wahyuni & Taqwa, 2022). One learning model that can be used in this case is the cooperative learning model.…”

“…Physics is a branch of natural science that contributes to achieving educational goals (Nada et al, 2022;Wahyuni & Taqwa, 2022). It is a science that emerges and develops through the stages of observation, problem formulation (Misbah et al, 2022;Rahim & Nadira, 2022;Zakwandi et al, 2022), hypothesis preparation, hypothesis testing through experiments, conclusions and exploration of theories and projects (Rosdiana et al, 2019;Sinulingga et al, 2016).…”
