“…Hatzipanagos and Gregson (2015) study on the role of open access and open educational resources from a distance learning perspective showed that 46% of the respondents indicated that they had plans to make open access materials available to users via mobile technologies and tablets. The result of a study by Ferwerda et al (2019) on open access books in academic libraries showed that open access books are distributed to users via a repository, through discovery serves or catalogs and shared OA initiatives or services as indicated by 82%, 81% and 60% of the respondents respectively. In a survey by Taylor and Francis (2013), it was discovered that librarians make free online information visible through the library website (63%); promote the use of Google or Google Scholar (53%); index free content in the library catalog (48%) and incorporate OARs in federated/discovery tools (42%) and by creating social media archives (8%).…”
