Line spectra chaotification of the nonlinear vibration isolation system on the flexible foundation based on the open-plus-nonlinear-closed-loop method

Abstract: Line spectra chaotification is a principal method to weaken or eliminate the line spectra feature of submarines. However, this method is difficult to obtain chaos under the variable working conditions and small amplitudes. Furthermore, there are multistable attractors in the nonlinear vibration isolation system simultaneously. So, the quality of chaos highly depends on initial conditions and systematic parameters. In this study, the attractor entrainment control and line spectra chaotification of a nonlinear v… Show more

“…Terefore, we improve the linear-closed-loop part as nonlinear feedback of "the nonlinear function of the diference between the target orbit variable and the controlled system variable" and propose an open-loop-plus-nonlinear-closed-loop (OLPNCL) control method. Te method has been successfully used to achieve generalized chaotic synchronization between the driving system and the response system [33].…”

“…e chaotification (chaos anticontrol) method [1][2][3][4] has many applications in engineering, one of which is to weaken the line spectra component of the ship's radiated noise. is method [5] uses an NVIS in a chaotic state to convert the line spectra input into a broadband continuous spectra output, so that the energy originally concentrated at the line spectra is dispersed to the entire frequency band.…”
