“…This estimation [1] is included for the HgTeand CdTe-limiting cases, as well as for Hg 0.8 Cd 0.2 Te in Figure 8.2, which shows the density-temperature dependence for solid and liquid MCT as reported in the literature. For solid HgTe, it can be seen that this estimation agrees fairy well with the results of Glazov and Pavlova [11,12], and with the trend of the data of Mokrovskii and Regel [13], although the latter values are probably overestimated due to some systematic error as compared to room temperature HgTe density values reported in Figure 8.1 and as discussed by Glazov and Pavlova [11]. For solid CdTe, the above-mentioned estimate [1] is in good agreement with the works of Glazov and Pavlova [11], Gadzhiev et al [6], as well as with the recent statistical assessment of Pavlova et al [7].…”
