“…Studies have shown that P21 levels are upregulated when RUNX3 is overexpressed, which in turn inhibits cell proliferation by arresting most cells at the G1 phase of the cell cycle, and also enhances cell apoptosis. 17,18 Our results showed that the expression level of RUNX3 increased with overexpression of MT1JP, which resulted in a large number of hepatoma cells arresting at the G1 phase as well as increased levels of cell apoptosis. Molecular assays revealed that the main factors contributing to this phenomenon may be related to the upregulation of P21 expression.…”

“…Glycated HbA1C was seen to rise in out of control or badly controlled DM (Bunn et al, 1978). It was proven that glycation possibly will motivate reactive oxygen radicals' genesis in the diabetic state, and the HbA1C measurement is introduced as a member of the biomarkers of oxidative stress level evaluation in DM (Bravi et al, 2006).…”

“…Oxygen/nitrogen-reactive molecules are produced excessively in DM through oxidative breakdown of glucose, enzyme-independent glycation of proteins, and oxygen-dependent breakdown of glycated-proteins (Mehta et al, 2006). Abnormal excessive levels of reactive species and the concomitant drop in internal antioxidant defense lines may result in damaged cellular components, high lipid peroxidation rate (El-Aassar et al, 2019;Elsayed et al, 2019), and insulin resistance (Naggar et al, 2005). These oxidative stress sequels may support diabetes consequences advance inspiring a novel and innovative strategy to a potential "causal" antioxidant remedies, for example, the flavonoids.…”

“…Other characteristic IR-absorption bands are determined at 1100 cm À1 and 1059 cm À1 for the ether group (-C-O) stretching, and at 961 cm À1 for (C-C-O) asymmetric stretching. 15,[30][31][32][33][34][35][41][42][43] The PCL spectrum exhibits two characteristic bands, for uCH 2 asymmetric stretching at 2939 cm À1 and symmetric stretching at 2862 cm À1 . The sharp band at 1718 cm À1 is attributed to the amide I stretching vibration [uCQO], while the band appearing at 1243 cm À1 is attributed to the asymmetric stretching vibration (uC-O-C); however, the symmetric stretching vibration of the same group appeared at 1103 cm À1 .…”
