Localization of iron metabolism–related mRNAs in rat liver indicate that HFE is expressed predominantly in hepatocytes

Abstract: The mRNAs of proteins involved in iron metabolism were measured in isolated hepatocytes, Kupffer cells, sinusoidal endothelial cells (SECs), and hepatic stellate cells (HSCs).
