“…With regard to propanoate metabolism, the expression of genes encoding glucan carrier protein is a mitochondrial translocase and promotes the transport of solutes across the mitochondrial membrane; this process between the mitochondrion and cytosol is dependent on ATP [25]. This finding was also contrary to the results reported by Zheng et al (2011). It is noteworthy that qRT-PCR results for Bcin01g00400, Bcin07g06960, Bcin02g03350, and Bcin16g04640 were all consistent with our RNA-seq data (Table S1).…”

“…Protein synthesis, although an exceedingly complicated process, is essential for cellular growth and metabolism. Among the genes associated with protein synthesis in B. cinerea, there were 28 genes enriched in term "ribosome" by KEGG, and their expression was found to be significantly upregulated ( Table S2) previous gene-profiling study on B. cinerea germination reported that transcripts encoding ribosomal proteins were markedly affected upon resveratrol treatment [23].…”

“…Until now, no previous proteomic studies have been reported concerning the intracellular proteins accumulated during germination process in B. cinerea. This process has been studied by transcriptome profiling (Zheng et al 2011;Leroch et al 2013) describing the up-regulation of secreted proteins, different germinationspecific expression pattern and corresponding secondary metabolic pathways. Only a few proteomic approaches concerning the germination process have been reported (Noir et al 2009) describing the first annotated proteome map of ungerminated conidiospores of Blumeria graminis f.sp hordei, the causal agent of powdery mildew in barley, concluding that spores are equipped with the complete molecular machinery to trigger the germination process on a suitable host surface, since most of the identified proteins in these ungerminated conidiospores are involved in carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism.…”

“…The role of selected enzymes [8][16], metabolites [17][21], transporters [22], [23], stress response elements [24], [25], cell wall building enzymes [26], [27] or signalling pathways [28][39] was hence revealed or clarified, most times in relation to plant infection. Moreover, the recent release and analysis of the fungus genome sequence [40] has added tremendous force to the task of understanding the necrotrophic plant-fungus interaction, and first outcomes of broader studies have emerged [3], [16], [41][43].…”
