Lotka law applied to the scientific production of Information Science area

Abstract: RESUMOApresentamos uma aplicação da Lei de Lotka ao conjunto de autores com publicações no campo da Ciência da Informação, entre 1996 e 2007. A aplicação realizada segue a metodologia de Lee Pao (1985). Foram selecionados todos os autores que surgiram no campo autor, não se efetuou nenhum corte na distribuição e a estimação do valor crítico calculou-se utilizando a fórmula proposta por Nicholls (1989).
